Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Registered Private & group programs

  • A full refund in the form of a credit will be provided for any "withdrawal and refund request form" (please email us for the form) submitted to FOCUS ACADEMY before the start of the program.

  • Requests submitted after the start of the program, will receive a credit toward future class/program. No refund will be provided for any requests submitted on, or after, the third class/program.

Course Cancellation Policy

A full refund will be provided for any course that FOCUS ACADEMY cancels before the course start date.

Registration 

Please contact us to arrange a meet up time for programs inquiry, FREE tutoring level assessment and we will complete registration accordingly

School Holidays

The school will be closed for two weeks during Christmas.  Regular programs will break one week for March Break but the school will be opening for March Break Camp and make up classes.

Focus Academy observes all statutory holidays and will be closed on the following:

Thanksgiving Monday, Family Day Monday, Good Friday, Victoria Day Monday, Canada Day and Labour Day Monday.

Make Up Classes & Withdrawal policy

Make-up lessons for one-on-one private tutoring/music lessons will only be considered under very unusual circumstances such as severe illness.  A 24 hours notification (by email to markhamfocusacademy@gmail.com or phone: 905-604-6287 (please leave a message) is needed for consideration of make-up lessons.  Make-up lessons are done at an agreeable time between both student and teacher during school operating hours.

Students are entitled to a maximum of three make up lessons (private class) per school year as long as sufficient notice is received.

Group classes can only entitles 3 make up classes allowance in a 10 months full year semester (September to June)

with 48 hours written notice to school email or whatsapp message.

The school will not issue a make up lesson for a missed Semi-Private and Group Class if no written notice received

**Lessons missed due to teacher illness or concert activities will be made up at the mutual convenience of teacher and student.**

The withdrawal procedure does not allow for partial refunds for a session. Should you have to withdraw from any Focus Academy programs, a 4 weeks written notice (4 classes before withdrawal) is required.  Notice of all changes to session times are required in writing by email or hard copy.

Any paid school fees amount will be in credit format towards other programs at FOCUS ACADEMY

(Except March Break Camp, Christmas Break Camp, PA days Camp & Summer Camps) .

ALL CREDIT NOTE valid 3 months from date of Issued or must complete by end of our fiscal year Jun 30th of each year, no credit note would issue after March 31st of each year

If a student will need to withdraw due to severe health condition problem. FULL refund will be arranged.

Any student did not have health condition problem and request for a refund , administrative fees $65 will be applied to the refund arranged

Abacus Group class make up can be arranged by the mutual convenience of teacher and student. The make up class format will be in 30 minutes private lesson for each student.
